Five Ways To Prepare For Your First Wedding Night

For couples who have already booked a plane ticket for their honeymoon destination, most would usually just want to sleep the night off after the wedding to prepare for the honeymoon trip the following day. But for the sentimentalist, wouldn't it be nice to prepare something special for the first night of your lives together?

After the entire ceremony, picture taking, shaking of hands and thank-you's, it could all be very exhausting. But do not fret bride and groom. There are hundreds of things you can do to make your wedding night as special as the wedding itself. Here is a list of suggestions that you may want to take to make the first night together extra special!

1. Shower all the stress away.

Weddings are exhausting, especially for the bride and groom. So just to make sure you won't spend your first night sleeping on your partner, take a refreshing shower to rid yourself of all that stress. This will also get you in the mood for the entire night, whatever your plans may be.

2. Give you husband or wife a little gift (something to prepare him of her for the honeymoon vacation).

Feeling a little naughty? Prep your partner up for that honeymoon vacation by giving him or her a naughty gift such as an erotic book that can prepare you for your honeymoon nights. There are a lot of books available in your local bookstores so just take the one which you think both you and your partner will enjoy.

3. Put on that “surprise” lingerie.

For the brides, you may already have that set of lace and satin lingerie packed in your luggage to take to your honeymoon trip. Go the extra length of making you first night together special by buying another one to wear on that night. This will just give your partner a sneak peek on what is to come for the trip. A woman can never have too much lingerie, right?

4. Don't drink the night away.

This not only goes to the groom but for the bride as well. Try not to have too much alcohol during the party. It would be disastrous to highlight your first night of your life together with puke running down your partner's clothes or with you sleeping the whole night through.

5. Communicate.

Communication is always one of the most important things in a relationship. During the party, you and your partner may not get to talk much. Both of you have to entertain guests, do the usual wedding ceremonies, make sure to talk to everyone in the party, etc. So as you close your day, talk; simply talk. Talk about anything, plan for the future, tease, laugh, take this private time to let everything sink in. What is most important is that you do this together.

So remember couples, the wedding is not the end of it all but it should be the beginning of your lives together. So after walking down the aisle executing everything in your wedding plans, don't stop there. Continue on planning for your future and make the rest of your married life as grand and as happy as your wedding day was.
